Use Case:
A typical 100MW plant deploys upwards of 250k individual solar modules. Modules degrade as they age and often develop anomalies that go unnoticed anywhere between 2 to 24 months. A drone thermal inspection solves this issue by analysis the thermal signature of PV modules at scale. Corrections to the identified issues can be made on the ground, leading to increased generation. Anomalies discovered with such an inspection include offline strings, short-circuited strings, activated bypass diodes, cell level hotspots, etc.
